Let's embark together on the road to a 5! High AP exam scores can make or break your college applications, so we're here to help you crush your AP English Language and Composition exam - and have fun doing so. We'll cover strategies our instructor, Ash, personally designed to 'hack' the exam, from multiple choice to each of the essays. We're sharing essay-writing templates that will get you the highest scores from exam graders every single time, methods to go beyond short-term memorization of rhetorical devices to true understanding of their meaning, and strategies to rack up the maximum number of points to ace the test. You'll come out ready to crush the AP exam, and a better writer overall.
This class would be ideal for middle and high school students. However, if you have a younger student who is interested, just let us know - we are happy to accommodate gifted youth. After all, Ash was just 13 years old when she scored a 5 on the AP exam!
AP English Language and Composition Bootcamp
Ash received her Bachelor's from Haverford College and her Master's from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a nationally award-winning and published essayist specializing in literary analysis. As a result of her writing awards, she was recruited to attend the highly prestigious Iowa Young Writers’ Studio on a full merit scholarship. She recently wrapped up her position working as the Director of Graduate Engineering Programs at Haverford College, where she developed collaborations with faculty and staff at Haverford College and the University of Pennsylvania to help students from Haverford, Swarthmore, and Bryn Mawr Colleges with applying to, writing application essays for, and enrolling in top engineering programs at institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania and the California Institute of Technology. In addition, she has served as an admissions interviewer for Haverford College. Ash has successfully worked with My Ivy Education students for years, guiding them on application essays that get them accepted to the top colleges and private high schools in the country, all while incorporating her signature creative and analytical approach. In her free time, she loves to create art of all kinds, from drawing to woodworking. She scored 5s on both the AP English Language and Composition exam and the AP English Literature and Composition exam.
